Bled-sølv og blad-gull er sølv og gull, men ikke rådyrt da flakene er tynne. Gull koster mer. Man begynner med å male gjenstanden i en grunnfarge. Jeg bruker kogsgrått til sølv. Så pensler man på en gullgrunn/ et klissete materiale som sitte på i 3 timer. Deretter legger man flakene med sølv på og pensler de fas, gjerne med et sølvpulver rundt, slik at det ser krakelert ut. Så lar man dette tørke 2-3 døgn. Jeg lakker alt 3 ganger etterpå, da holder det seg!
Under er det et bilde fra Hotell Plaza Athen. Her pensles blad-gull på spirene til smijernsgjerdet. Jeg regner med de lakker det etterpå da det er ute. Fra gammelt av lakket man ofte ikke over møbler som det ble lagt blad-gull på, derfor ble det også redusert med årene.
